Master's Level Nursing Practice
This Essential uses any form of nursing intervention that positively influences healthcare outcomes for a variety of individuals, populations, or systems.
I feel I met this essential by evolving into my role as a Master's level Nurse Practitioner. I feel this has been a wonderful journey and I feel I have a deeper understanding of my chosen role as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
I will have the necessary ability, knowledge, and skill to be a successful and competent provider, after completing the FNP program, and I will have the ability to work effectively in various settings and will be able to enhance professional relationships with other healthcare professionals. I am confident that I will enquire about work within local companies in my community, and I look forward to serving my community and my future patients.
The first assignment I chose to showcase is from PEDs, where my group and I did a Service Learning Project on Water Safety. The project took place at the Aquatic Center in Kingsport, where my group and I educated little ones and their mothers about the importance of water safety, and we put together a PowerPoint presentation to teach about it in class.
The same group and I also did another PowerPoint project for PEDs on Child Rights, both Nationally & Globally. This project really opened my eyes to child rights, especially within the healthcare system.

Master's Level Nursing Practice
Additional assignments I included here to show how I met this competency include the Scope of Practice DB and my APRN roles case study PowerPoint both from Practice Management and Advanced Role Development.
I feel I met these essentials by researching the scope of practice for Nurse Practitioners in South Carolina and learned more by discussing different state's scope of practice in class with my classmates and professor. This assignment was a positive influence on my future. By doing this assignment, I feel that I have a better understanding of my responsibilities as a Nurse Practitioner.
I also met this essential by researching the different roles of an APRN. My assigned role in class was a leader, and therefore, my PowerPoint was a case study about a situation where the APRN took on the leadership role. This assignment gave me much-needed insight into the many roles a Nurse Practitioner plays.
